We are excited to participate in the Our Community Wellness Fair for Black, African, and Caribbean Communities in Brampton on October 14, and hope you’ll join us! Take part in free health checks, get wellness information and resources, and chat with local wellness service providers. You can also get your COVID-19, flu, and routine school immunizations on site!
Admission and parking are free and all ages are welcome. Emceed by The Juiceman Jonathan Shaw, there will also be music, giveaways, interactive fitness presentations, children’s activities including author Valene Campbell, a food truck ($), and much more to enjoy. There will also be a Black, African, and Caribbean marketplace featuring health and wellness products and services.
Wellness topics include:
- Cancer screening and prevention
- Diabetes prevention and management – diabetes test will be available
- Heart health – blood pressure checks and consultations will be available
- Services for seniors
- Mental health and wellness
- Sexual health – free HIV self-test kits will be available
- Skin and hair health
- Wellness for children and youth
